KOŚCIÓŁ MARIACKI

One of the largest and most important, after the Wawel Cathedral, churches in Krakow, since 1962 having the title of a minor basilica.

It is one of the most famous monuments of Krakow and Poland. St. Mary's Church is a Gothic church, built in the 14th and 15th centuries. It is located at the north-eastern corner of the Main Market Square, on St. Mary's Square. Every hour a bugle call is played from the church tower to four different parts of the world. Inside the church, it is necessary to pay attention to the largest medieval altar in Europe, created by Vito Stoss.
