One of the largest and most important, after the Wawel Cathedral, churches in Krakow, since 1962 having the title of a minor basilica.
It is one of the most famous monuments of Krakow and Poland. St. Mary's Church is a Gothic church, built in the 14th and 15th centuries. It is located at the north-eastern corner of the Main Market Square, on St. Mary's Square. Every hour a bugle call is played from the church tower to four different parts of the world.
