The Main Market Square is the largest medieval square in Europe. Almost all tenement houses and palaces around the Market Square are several hundred years old historic buildings.

While strolling around the Market Square, it is impossible not to stop for a while in one of the many charming cafes or restaurants. The Main Market Square is the most popular meeting place, where summer festivals, concerts and fairs are organized. For centuries, a truly magical bugle-call melody can be heard from the St. Mary's Tower - a sound that has become a fragment of the Krakow landscape.

What is worth seeing while on the Main Square?

One of the greatest tourist attractions of Krakow is the Royal Road leading from Matejko Square through the Florian Gate and Floriańska Street to the Main Market Square. Then, right next to St. Mary's Basilica, the Adam Mickiewicz monument and the Cloth Hall, onto Grodzka Street. Next, through Dominikański Square, All Saints Square, heading towards the last element of the walk - Wawel Hill.
